I'm Back & I Brought My Tinfoil & Paints With Me! Watch out!

Here with Today's project is a Mixed Media Class that I attended last month with my friend Pam at The Inked Stamper Scrapbook Store. The wonderful Class was taught by the owner Dawn. I loved the idea of trying something new by painting on tin foil.

I decided to try it out again and do it with the colours I like,
I thought i'd try an underwater theme. So here it goes!

==================================================================
Start by cutting up random square sizes of Tinfoil

Pick out your Favorite Embossing folders

Press down and Emboss 1/3 of your Tinfoil

When you have 2/3 of your Tinfoil embossed you are ready.

Get out your Journal, or 12x12 Paper
Grab a paint brush and brush a layer of Gesso across the pages

Next Grab your Mod Podge and paint a layer
on top of the tinfoil covering the entire tinfoil square

Now layer your Tinfoils on the paper

Switching between embossed/plain tinfoil; Overlapping slightly

Gently Brush over all the ends with mod podge to seal each sqaure

Be sure to brush it flat so there are no bubbles in the mod podge.

Let it dry or use a heat tool to dry.

When its dry; double check to make sure you didnt miss sealing any spots.

Next pick out your three paints you wish to blend with

Folk Art* Metallic Acrylic Paint (Walmart under $3.00 each)
I chose Emerald Green, Blue Sapphire and Amethyst

Take a sponge and Sponge three areas with 3 colours and then blend them together
Adding when you need more colours.

Dont worry, you are supposed to make a mess lol

Let it Dry a few hours or Heat tool it dry, Like I did it here.

Stay tuned for Part 2!

Floral Collage

Hello Everyone! Here is my first Mod Podge Creation!

Here's how i made it:

Step one, Pick out a sheet of thick cardstock. Mix Red, White and Black paint together on your paper.

Step two: After you painted your paper canvas with your paints in Step one, Let it dry.

Step 3: Pick out the flowers you want to use.

Step 4: Clip the flower stems off. Use tacky glue to adhere the flowers to paper.

Step 5: Grab a thick Paintbrush and some Matte or Glossy Finish Mod Podge (Under $10 at Walmart)
Paint it all over and completely cover it. This will start the sealing of everything.

Step 6: Use heating tool to speed dry careful of burning the flowers - Or wait 24-48 hours for it to fully dry.

Here's the final product!

===========================================
  • When did you start Scrap-booking?

I started scrap-booking shortly before I started my own photography business.
I, like many others was just buying scrap-booking supplies never really sitting & learning to scrap. Later on One of my friends introduced me to Close to My Heart.
I fell in love with their template books on how to scrapbook
(Imagine, Cherish and Magic = All no longer available )
Once I learned a few ways how to make a page,
I now don't even look at the template books and I just arrange to what I feel works.
